Collaboration
MLA aims to continue to develop collaborative innovation strategies throughout the red meat value chain with, but not limited to:
- Processors
- Value adders
- Pastoral companies
- Lot feeders
- Research and technology partners
The objective of MLA’s collaborative activities is to significantly increase the level of investment in research and development (R&D) by the red meat industry and increase the innovation culture and capability of individual enterprises and the industry as a whole.
Initiatives
MLA offers three collaborative programs:
- Collaborative Innovation Strategies
A program that will assist collaborative partners to develop a comprehensive innovation strategy.
- Partners in Innovation
A mechanism for attracting commercial investment from individual enterprises and matching this with surplus Commonwealth R&D funds.
- Plant Initiated Projects
A program for AMPC members to access funding for activities that advance scientific or technical knowledge and understanding within the industry.
