Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) provides research and development (R&D) and marketing services to the red meat industry. MLA is a producer-owned company, working in partnership with industry and government to achieve a profitable and sustainable red meat and livestock industry.

In collaboration with Australian meat processors and the Australian Meat Processing Corporation (AMPC), MLA works to develop and commercialise world-class systems and technologies that increase the efficient use of water and energy, maximise the recovery of saleable meat and edible offals, and improve working conditions.
