About this Website
The Red Meat Innovation website contains information, current and past research projects, statistics and updates from the research and development (R&D) collaboration between Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) and the Australian Meat Processor Corporation (AMPC).
The site is deliberately designed to be text-rich with few graphics, making pages fast to download even with slower internet connections.
Using the Site
The site can be navigated in several ways:
- Using the search box at the top right on every page to jump directly to the item that you are looking for.
- Using the main navigation menu at the top to visit the main topic sections on the site which allow you to browse down into secondary navigation items. For example from the Value Adding section you can browse down to Co-products and then into current and past projects, quarterly updates etc.
- Using 'Related Links' on the left of each content page to jump to related web pages within the Red Meat Innovation website.
- Using the breadcrumb trail under the main navigation menu to step back through the navigation relating to your current page.
You can return to the Home page at any time by clicking on the Red Meat Innovation signage at the top left, or by clicking on the text link in the breadcrumb trail under the main navigation menu.

Information related to the research and devlopment areas supported by MLA within the processing sector.

Information on products, services and technolgoies that are commercially ready, under trial or in the research & development phase.
- Professional Development
This is a MLA funded program that increases the professionalism and innovative capacity of both individuals and companies within the processing sector.
- Working with MLA
MLA offers a variety of collaboration options, including co-funding of collaborative research and development projects, as well as assisting collaborative partners to develop comprehensive collaborative innovation strategies.
- Members Only
This section contains information such as project reports that are only accessible to members of the Red Meat Processing Industry.
